Sample Scope of Work

High School Principal with KidsPrincipals and district administrators are being held responsible for more than ever before. They must be professional developers, managers, marketers, strategic planners, budget developers, accountants, plant managers, disciplinarians, and the list goes on and on. And now, with the transition to the Common Core State Standards, and the accompanying state and federal accountability systems, principals face incredible pressures to perform well in all of these areas.

Based on our team’s experience as school and district leaders, we provide one-on-one or small group coaching of principals and district administrators to build their capacity as instructional leaders to accomplish the following goals:

  1. to articulate an educational vision, and to create a strategic plan that drives toward that vision
  2. to create and promote equitable, caring, and coherent educational policies and practices throughout their school
  3. to identify, plan, and lead their school’s instructional priorities
  4. to build a strong professional learning community where teachers are critical friends and feel a shared responsibility for all students
  5. to build strong partnerships with parents, the district, and other community-based organizations
  6. to identify, review, and synthesize the most relevant data to set goals and assess progress
  7. to ensure that their budget and master schedule reflects their instructional priorities and vision
